Yoga
One-on-one yoga, much like personal fitness training, is tailored to your specific needs. These 30- or 60-minute sessions allow you to work privately with Kate, to create a practice that makes sense for your body and your level of experience. While all yoga supports you physically, mentally and emotionally, one-on-one yoga lets you work on what makes sense for you—at your own pace.
30-Minute Private Yoga
Like playing an instrument or learning a language, practicing yoga is so much more effective when done on a regular and frequent basis even if for shorter lengths of time. 30-minute private yoga sessions are an affordable way to give yoga a first try and/or sustain a regular personal practice. Together we consider any injuries, limitations as well as your unique intentions in order to design a practice that is customized for you and your body. Depending on the client’s background and goals, sessions can include a combination of pranyama (or breathwork) and both seated and standing asanas (postures) focusing on increased flexibility, strength and balance. With one-on-one attention you will receive helpful feedback on alignment and how to deepen your practice.
60-Minute Private Yoga
An hour-long private yoga session is ideal for those who wish to explore a more comprehensive yoga practice that can include a combination of pranyama (breathwork), restorative and active asanas (postures), guided svasana or meditation. It is also a preferred amount of time if you are healing specific injuries or seeking more hands-on adjustment and work with props. An hour is ample time to incorporate an active physical practice paired with longer held restorative postures to release denser tissues of the body (tendons, ligaments, fascial adhesions, etc.) and experience deeper relaxation. Yoga is a highly effective practice for athletic performance, injury prevention, stress management, weight loss, increased energy and overall well being.
Semi-Private Yoga Sessions
Semi-private yoga sessions are tailored for groups of two. Experiencing yoga with a friend or partner can feel more comfortable, fun and motivating. Clients still receive the benefits of personalized attention regarding alignment, breathing and support staying present and focused. When practicing together with someone they know clients often report increased motivation to continue practicing in between sessions also. Semi-private yoga is offered in 60-minute sessions and packages are available.
